[UX] STB (set top box) product concept design idea

So far most of set top box product is just made horizontally. This means we need some deep cabinet to keep that under TV. This is why I think about the concept design idea of stb product. TV is getting slim nowadays. I mean TV panel is quite slim compared to the previous panel. For this change, stb product also should be slim or standing vertically.

[UX] Case study - How to decrease human error in haptic interface and page scroll

There are lots of human errors in the haptic interface since it had been launched. Especially that is not easy to define the similar touch actions like scroll, upscale, or downscale. I found out some cases that the component in the screen is easily touched when the scroll event occurred. This problem must not come from the hardware, and that might be mostly the problem that is not designed for the exception of this kind of events.

[UX] Emotional design case – Nick icon (Nickcon)

If you consider emotional design, you need to find out something fun or something to stimulate users’ experiences. Something dynamic must be better, and considering the atmosphere would be better than the others. That design factors don’t need to be a big change. Sometimes just a small thing can be a key for emotional design for sure.

[UX] Case Study - The problem in Usability design for TV guide

As far as I know, some graphic EPG(TV guide) UIs has usability problem. They show the program thumbnails and icons to record or enter or schedule to record in the same screen. They can be the confusing usability problem to users, and need to make sure the scenario exactly in usability design work.

[UX] Innovative idea (Apple's lightening cable)

Apple has been tried to innovate their products so much, and especially one of the most innovative things is the cable, “lightening cable”. Many of manufacturers just changed their functions or parts in the product not like the cable. This approach is very sensational and successful to user experiences side.
